My Approach

If my wild and adventurous career has taught me anything, it’s that my life’s purpose is to help and to heal. I believe in empowering YOU with the skillset and education to help yourself, this is how we truly heal. Sometimes that requires hands-on care, other times its simply education and a compliance coach to keep ya going in the right direction. I want to get you back outside, adventuring and living your best life. Maybe you can even pay it forward and help someone else with your newfound knowledge. I want to help you FLY ;)

Hi, I’m Dr. Lyndsay Young.

I see life as an adventure, and my adventurous career started a while ago. Back to 7th grade in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin when we completed ‘Bio Books.’ We were asked to answer questions like, ‘what do you want to be when you grow up?’ My answer was: “ I want to be a physical therapist and live in Park City, UT.” Well dream big folks, because sometimes your wildest dreams do come true…plus some. I moved out to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2007, graduated as president of my athletic training class and received the most outstanding student award in 2011. Four days after undergrad graduation, I started graduate school at my number one choice and top 15 ranked PT school, again the U of U. With a stroke of luck and a great deal of hard work I started working with the US Ski Team shortly after earning my doctorate in physical therapy in 2014. My first year I worked with the women's speed team, which consisted of Lindsey Vonn, Julia Mancuso and Laurenne Ross to name a few. During the second year with the team I was asked to cover a camp with Mikaela Shiffrin. A few tap dances and therapy sessions later- we knew we were going to be a fun match. I worked with Team Shiffrin for over 3 seasons, including her first significant injury, dozens of World Cup’s wins, Overall Championship wins, and a silver and gold medal in the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. This was a wild ride, I learned a lot about myself, elite athletes, mental health, travel and so much more. After 4 seasons on the world cup, I wanted to change it up. In 2019, I started working with adaptive athletes and quickly found my way back to ski racing, but now with the Paralympic Ski Team. I went from working with one athlete in pristine shape to 15 athletes with an insane range of neurological and physical disabilities. I loved it. Feeling challenged, feeling valued and believing you can and are making a positive impact is an amazing feeling. When you feel valued, it's really easy to work 18 hour days in foreign countries. During my time with the Paralympic crew, I moved back to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I was able to work at Froedtert outpatient PT clinics when I was home. Working in outpatient orthopedics has allowed me to widen my scope of practice and bring my experiences on the road back home. I’m passionate to continue doing this and help anyone who is ready for it, get back outside and doing the things they love most.
